What is Intuitive Mind Coaching?
Having conversations about what deeply matters to you and feeling good about life.
Mind coaching enables you to see yourself more clearly and overcome challenges that life has been throwing at you. It brings relief when you've had enough of struggling and can't see an easy way forward. It helps you with health problems, difficult relationships, anxiety and when you are feeling stuck. It supports you in making the changes that you desire, right here and right now. With this novel way of working, it's easy to get to the bottom of things quickly and opens door that you never imagined were available and it usually involving a sense of freedom.
Some people find the thought of chatting to a stranger daunting, and worry that they won’t know what to say. That's perfectly understandable, but it's so much easier than you think, and you'll be amazed how good you can feel even after just one session. There is a saying. "You don't know, what you don't know.” This is your chance to find out.
What does it involve?
The work we do together will help you to identify habits, behaviours and beliefs that hold you back.
During our lifetime we unconsciously take on concepts that enable our world to make sense. Over time we can find ourselves in conflict when new ideas fight the old conditioning, we want to make changes but we don't know how. Mind Coaching enables you to gently let go your old patterns of thinking to make way for new, more productive thought pathways. It's an opportunity to utilise your personal power to create a life that works for you, rather than against you. It's about finding the best part of you and bringing it out again. It's not as weird as it sounds and usually involves a technique called NLP (neurolinguistic programming) or IDT (interactive drawing therapy) which is interesting and rather fun to do.
I work from my home based office in Wadestown and we start with a 1.5 hours session where you can get a feel of what it's all about. It's useful to have a few sessions, as there is often more things that you want to attend to once you get started. These follow-ups are one hour meetings. I use a variety of tools in my coaching practice, these include: Hypnotherapy, IDT (Interactive Drawing Therapy), EFT (Tapping), NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming), Non-Violent Communication, :The Work" (Bryron Katie) and other interesting tools.

What science tells us about our thoughts.
Biologist, Bruce Lipton explains it best when he talks about how our brain has a bias to storing negative experiences. Working with a coach helps you identify those negative beliefs and trains your brain to replace them with something more positive.
"Until recently, the conventional thinking was that our brains were hardwired at birth and therefore unchangeable. But the truth is that our brains are constantly being reshaped by our daily experiences. Problem: is that the brain is bad at learning from good experiences, but good at learning from bad ones. We learn faster from pain than from pleasure, and negative interactions have more impact on a relationship than positive ones. In effect, our brain is like Velcro for the bad but Teflon for the good. We continually look for negative information, over-react to it, and then quickly store these reactions in brain structure.This negativity bias kept our ancestors alive in tough conditions, but now it’s a “bug” in the Stone Age brain in the 21st century: a bottleneck that blocks good experiences from becoming inner strengths built into neural structure.’” Bruce Lipton

It's fair to say that most of us have communication break-downs with the one's we love at some stage in our lives. Going through teenage years is tough for both for the parents and the kids. There is so much change going on for everyone with no obvious support in sight. Experience in this area has enabled me to help many, many parents to help restore a sense of harmony and balance at home while their children evolve to become teens and beyond.
A life-time of experience.
As a parent of four young people in their 20's, I have put into practice everything I have studied over the past 25 years and the knowledge I have gained over my life-time. I have become an expert at guiding and supporting parents and youth on their journey. Becoming a teacher, then a parent and finally a life coach, I have developed a special talent for seeing the bigger picture and spotting the issues. But not only that, I remember so well how it felt to be a teenager. Being misunderstood, confused and frustrated, not having a clue how to get my needs met and feeling completely alone without knowing how to ask for support. It doesn't have to be that way.
One thing I can say for certain - we are all responsible for our communication and our thinking. When we are willing and ready to take this responsibility onboard, change is inevitable and people are able to return to the place of seeing each other with love.

A couple of months ago I reached out to to Nancy to help me with a fear of flying that I've had for many years. I had never thought hypnotherapy would be the answer, but after cancelling a holiday due to the anxiety that was constantly building around it, I knew I had to do something further.
Nancy made me feel so comfortable and I was able to open up to her so easily and so honestly. We had a totally of three sessions. Each session she showed me different techniques and tools and she dug further into the background of where this fear may have started.
I have just flown to Queenstown and back, which for me is huge. I'm not sure I'll ever enjoy flying! However, with the tools and techniques I have learnt From Nancy I was able to control any negative thoughts and keep them at bay. It was a completely different flying experience than what I was used to.

Before I met you I was confused as to why problems kept appearing and life seemed so hard financially and emotionally, I was working hard and felt like I kept going backwards and not making any progress – I was getting increasing confused about what to do, I needed a new perspective. I needed clarity and to know what was getting in my way.
You have a unique gift and intuitive ability which helped me in clearing the mind clutter and finding the repetitive thought processes that I needed to change. One of the most useful things for me to do is to keep catching up every 3-6 months for a “warrant of fitness” I am always surprised at what we uncover, it’s like removing another layer and it keeps me moving forward. I am financially and emotionally in the opposite place of where I started. Problems do come up now and again, and they are easily solved, I have different thoughts about myself and there are some emotions that used to be a part of my everyday existence that I no longer experience.
In one particular one-on-one session I experienced a huge revelation or re-connection – possibly the most powerful in my life and I didn’t know at the time it was about to happen.

I thought that I was relatively good at understanding what I was feeling until I started having sessions with you because you made me realise that my thoughts go a lot deeper. You have helped me over and over to uncover what is really going on inside my head and you've used awesome methods that I've never tried before to do it.
